What we can't do alone...
We can do together.
The economic contribution of Latinos is a tremendous engine of economic growth within the United States.
OUR SHARED GOAL
Our goal is to move Milwaukee into a Top-10 City on the Hispanic Well-Being Index. We track 20 different variables about our Milwaukee MSA Latino population and we compare that with the Latino population of the top 50 metros in the U.S. While we are currently 44th in the nation, we believe we have the tools and the team to propel us forward.

Together with partners in the Latino community and non Latino community, we are helping align resources and efforts towards our common goal.

Our strategic priorities are based upon the data that we track. We want to concentrate our work where it can have the most impact in people's lives and accelerate the pace of transformation. As the below priorities improve, they make an impact on all variables in health, wealth, education and income.
Our Strategic Priorities

Upskilling/Reskilling
While we have a high percentage of employment in our Latino community, we also have high levels of poverty. We are working to find ways to help impact 15,000 households with an increase of $10,000 or more in househole income via upskilling individuals into in demand jobs.

Hispanic Owned Business
We have the lowest rate of Hispanic Owned Businesses at only 27 businesses per 1000 of the population. If we were able to get to 50, it would mean over 7,000 additional Latino business leaders investing in our neighborhoods and city.

Civic Participation
Our voter turnout rate in the Latino community is roughly 22 percentage points behind other top cities. Maximizing our voter impact while thousands of more Latinos each year are eligible to vote will make a big impact in our voice and representation.
