In 2020, the Hispanic Collaborative launched an inaugural Hispanic Commercial Real Estate conference with the goals of being a catalyst for greater Hispanic development, increasing the number of Hispanic investors and developers, and increasing the number of Latinos in the commercial real estate industry. The real estate industry is in a unique position to push on three correlating and cluster variables that we are trying to improve: median household income, the number of Latino-owned businesses, and civic participation. It has been a very successful conference that led to the development and launch of the Hispanic Collaborative Emerging Developer Fund supporting aspiring developers with capital for debt or equity and mentorship. The 4th annual URBANO conference is scheduled for 10/2/2024 at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
